The online facet comprises a tournament mode for as many as eight players. In development by Coresoft Inc., this new PlayStation 2 version of Deer Hunter enables players to hunt off- or on-line, switching between 17 different weapons (shotguns, rifles and bows, and even off-road vehicles) and enabling hunting buddies to pair up in a split-screen co-op mode. What's really amazing is that, despite Sony Computer Entertainment America's unspoken directive to not permit deer hunting games to be published on PlayStation, Infogrames has been given the green light to publish Deer Hunter on PlayStation 2, a first on a Sony system.
